Summary of The Miracle of the Sargasso Sea
Deux femmes seules mènent une morne existence dans une petite ville de l’ouest de la Grèce où l’on pratique l’élevage d’anguilles. Elisabeth est une officière de police jadis ambitieuse qui a dû quitter Athènes il y a dix ans et qui se noie dorénavant dans l’alcool ; Rita est la sœur effacée d’un chanteur qui officie dans la boîte de nuit de la région. La mort soudaine d’un des habitants va ébranler la communauté locale et rapprocher les deux femmes qui s’ignoraient jusqu’alors. Les secrets inavouables enfouis dans les marais remontent peu à peu à la surface et les deux femmes y voient l’opportunité de sauver leurs âmes en peine.
